We definitely rounded up the toys for my son’s Toy Story themed 2nd Birthday party this year! My three kids are all obsessed with Toy Story and have the toy version of just about every character so this party was all about the toy props and so easy to put together. I tried to keep things simple and just focused on the cake and sweets table. I wanted to create a playful table with all his favorite characters from the movies.
Each candy and sweet treat represented one of the main characters: Woody inspired cupcakes and cookies, Jessie inspired cookies, Buzz Lightyear cupcakes and rock candy, Chocolate coins for Hamn, Alien inspired green jello, and the most ADORABLE Mr. Potato Head Cake Pops. I also randomly found Army men gummies.
My son’s favorite characters are Woody and Buzz, so we had a two tiered cake inspired by both characters. I still can’t get over the detailed belt buckle and space ranger logo.
Inspired by the movie posters, I created a backdrop of blue sky with white cloud cutouts and a birthday sign similar to the toy story logo.
To add finishing touches, I added random little details around the house such as a Wooden Block banner and an Etch-a-Sketch welcome sign.
Last but not least, I couldn’t leave out “Pizza Planet”. We had a mini pizza station complete with a Pizza Planet rocket and our “eternally grateful” aliens.

September 4, 2018 at 10:30 am (2 years ago)Hi. Cow table cloth is a plastic table cover sold at party stores. I just used it over a regular red table cover.
