When planning my son’s Baptism, I really wanted to create a simple celebration with a sweet and elegant touch. It was a very small celebration at our home with just our closest family members so I did not want anything too extravagant or over done. I chose to work with white as the main color and then added touches of soft baby blue to add some color. I love lace and decided it was the perfect texture and pattern. It worked out beautifully.
Our dessert table included a variety of sweets all decorated to match the color scheme. Sweets included cross shaped sugar cookies, cream puffs, chocolate bars and kisses, white meringues, and incredibly delicious strawberries dipped in white chocolate.
A beautifully decorated vanilla rum cake completed the selections. The staff at Moulin Rose Cake and Bakery Shop never fail me and make the most delicious and delicate cakes in town. I couldn’t resist the gorgeous baptism figurine by Precious Moments
so I used it as the cake topper.
To complete the look, I found the perfect matching fabric garland and used it as a backdrop. I also created a paper fan banner with the baby of honor’s name, Javier.
Welcome table and guest tables were decorated with beautiful white hydrangeas and take home favors such as mini rosaries in organza bags, votive candles, and personalized bookmarkers.
Nothing brings it all together, like the perfect matching stationary. Invitations were accented with a silver cross and ribbon. My favorite piece was the personalized bookmarks with the baby’s name and details of such a joyous and special day.
In the end, I was so happy the way it all turned out.
A simple and beautiful memory of Javier’s Baptism
