Sound the Alarm!! My little boy is 4!! So this post is coming a few months later since my boy is about 4.5 at this point, but I finally got around to sorting and editing to be able to put it all together. My little guy absolutely loves firetrucks and dressing up in his fireman gear so we went with the whole firetrucks and anything fireman related theme. It was a budget friendly and small family celebration so I used many of the props we already had and mostly my son’s collection of firetrucks (we have lots and in all sizes!!).
Sticking to my budget, I myself made many of the treats. For the cake, I used melted candy pieces as “flames” to decorate the already made chocolate cake.
I also attempted to make my own sugar cookies. I was proud of them but my goodness…that’s a lot of work and they were no where near perfect.
I also made some brownies to pose as “burnt ashes”. Added some marshmallows (fire foam), jello, cupcakes, twizzlers (fire hoses), and “flaming Cheetos” and the kids were beyond thrilled!!
To decorate the cake table, I used lots of firetrucks ( did I mention we have a lot of them?!?!), fireman boots, fire extinguisher, firefighter helmets, ax (toy). I made the backdrop using a mix of yellow, red, and orange party streamers.
Printables are my main thing so there is always plenty of labels, tags, and signs at every one of my parties 🙂 (Available in my Etsy Shop. See details below)
My little boy was so happy with his celebration (even if he doesn’t show it in pictures). We found the most amazing Fire station bounce house complete with a firetruck/ladder slide. It was a HIT!!
